Few chances

PSV fought themselves back into the game without creating any chances of note. Referee Nijhuis waved play on when Pereiro went down in the box, much to the dismay of the PSV players. Marko van Ginkel sustained an injury following a nasty challenge by Berghuis and was replaced by Steven Bergwijn.

‘Title race is over’

Cocu: ‘We were outclassed in the opening exchanges as some players were impressed by the terrific atmosphere in the stadium. When we were a goal down we found our rhythm and when it was 1-1 we had an opportunity to take the lead. But Feyenoord deserved the win. The title race is over but we will try to finish the season in second playing and book a place in the UEFA Champions League qualifying round.”
